Copy of A は横須賀の海が見える場所にある、小さなデザインスタジオです。ここでは、世の中に溢れているようなありきたりなデザインではなく、ちょっと特別でオリジナルなものを作りたいと考えています。私たちが目指しているのは、毎日の生活の中でふっと心が温かくなるような、でも無理なく馴染むシンプルなデザイン。大量生産されているような画一的なものではなく、手作りだからこそ出せる温かみや味わいを大切にしています。
私たちが作るのは、使い捨てのものではなく、時間が経っても愛される「長く使いたくなるもの」。飽きたらすぐに捨てるのではなく、使い込むほどに味が出て、どんどん愛着が湧いてくるようなアイテムを目指しています。素材選びからデザイン、仕上げに至るまで、ひとつひとつ丁寧に手作業で作っています。だからこそ、大量生産される製品とは違って、どこか温かみが感じられるものが出来上がるんです。
私たちのスタジオでは、伝統的な手作りの技術を大切にしながら、最先端のテクノロジーも取り入れています。具体的には、3D プリンターを使ってモデルを作成し、その後の手作業で仕上げています。この方法により、精密なデザインを実現しつつ、手作りの温かさと個性を両立させることができています。

Copy of A is a small design studio located in a place with a view of the sea in Yokosuka. Here, we aim to create something special and original, not the usual, run-of-the-mill designs that flood the world. What we strive for are simple designs that subtly warm your heart in everyday life, ones that naturally blend into your surroundings. Rather than mass-produced, standardized products, we cherish the warmth and character that only handmade items can provide.
What we create is not something disposable, but items that are meant to be loved over time—things you want to keep using for a long time. Instead of discarding them when you get bored, we want our products to develop more character the more you use them, and for you to grow increasingly attached to them. From choosing materials to design and finishing, everything is carefully handcrafted. That’s why our products, unlike mass-produced items, carry a certain warmth and uniqueness.
